Black Cat Detective (traditional Chinese: 黑貓警長; simplified Chinese: 黑猫警长; pinyin: Hēimāo Jĭngzháng), also known as Mr. Black, is a Chinese animated TV show produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio. The series aired on CCTV from 1984 to 87, and has been critizised for it's violence, and lack of educational content. Blood, gore, guns are all present in the series which through out the the series are elements stated to be purely for entertainment.
