Tales from the Cryptkeeper is an American animated horror series based on an E.C. Comics' series of the same name. Like the comic, and the live action series which was also based on it, Tales of the Cryptkeeper is hosted by the Cryptkeeper who has a ghoul like appearance. Each episode is a story featuring a protagonist who ultimately learns a moral lesson when his or her would be victim turns the tables on them. The series was produced by Nelvana Animation and aired on ABC from September 18,1993 to 1994.

The series was originally intended to be hosted by the same animatronic crypt keeper as the live-action series but after concerns surfaced about the animatronic hosts' suitability for a young audience, the host was chosen to be a milder animated version.
