The film was produced by Dong Fachang, Xue Jiajing, Jiang Ping, and Zhou Chao. It has a run time of 89 minutes. Legend of a Rabbit is the first Chinese animated feature to be shown internationally, being released in 62 countries worldwide on July 11, 2011. It was produced on a budget of 120 million Chinese Yin, and only managed to receive 16 million in the box office release.
