Three from Prostokvashinio
(aka Three from Buttermilk) (Russian: Трое из Простоквашино, Troye iz Prostokvashino) is the first in a trilogy of soviet animated shorts based on the Children's book Uncle Fyodor, His Dog and His Cat (Дядя Фёдор, Пёс и Кот) by Eduard Uspensky.

PlotEdit

A six-year-old boy called Uncle Fyodor, because he is very serious, leaves his home after his parents don't let him keep Matroskin, a talking cat. Uncle Fyodor, with the dog Sharik, and cat Matroskin, set up a home in the country, a village called "Buttermilk", or Prostokvashino in Russian.
